Ingredients
For Chocolate Coating
- 40 ladyfinger biscuits
- 5-6 tablespoons Cognac
- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 cups cocoa powder
For Cream Coating
- 4 cans of sweetened condensed milk 15oz
- 8 cups whole milk
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 8 egg yolks
For the Whippet Cream layer
- 2 L heavy cream
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How to make Pavê Chocolate
- In a large saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk and 3 cups of milk.
- Dissolve cornstarch in a glass of milk and put it in a saucepan. Cook the mixture over low to medium heat with constant stirring until it starts to thicken. then separate the cornstarch and let it cool.
- Add the egg yolks to the cold cream and return to the skillet. then cook again until thick.
- Cool and pour into a 15x10 baking dish then place the biscuits in a large bowl and the cognac in another small bowl. Sprinkle the cognac on the biscuits with your fingers.
- Place 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of chocolate cake in the same saucepan used for the cream.
- Cook until it looks like hot chocolate. (Don't curdle, it should be a liquid mixture, not cream!)
- Soak the biscuits in the chocolate and place them on top of the cream. then cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next day, mix the whipped cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla essence to make whipped cream.
- In the final step, pour the whipped cream into the pan to make a third layer.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Rub or rub the chocolate over the paving.
