Ingredients:
- 600 ml water
- 1 teaspoon dashi powder (many marketed in supermarkets in the form of sachets, if not available can be exchanged for fish stock)
- 1 tablespoon white miso paste or Japanese tauco (available in supermarkets)
- 1 pack of tofu, diced
- Onion, chopped
- Wakame (dried seaweed), as needed
- Salt, according to taste
Steps to Make Miso Soup:
- Heat water to brew wakame until soft, then pat dry.
- Take a little hot water then mix the miso paste.
- Bring the water to a boil, add the miso paste mixture just now and stir until dissolved.
- Make sure the miso paste is evenly dissolved, then reduce the heat. Add dashi and stir until thoroughly combined. You can add salt according to the desired taste.
- Add the tofu and stir gently so it doesn't crumble. Then add the wakame and let it simmer for a while.
- Pour soup into a bowl and sprinkle with chopped scallions.
