Dalgano -  Recipes Japan The word Chuka refers to China. Processed as Chuka is usually a Japanese dish mixed with typical Chinese spices, namely soy sauce, and sesame oil. Wakame itself is a type of seaweed that is commonly processed as a side dish. Easy to make and guaranteed to taste delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 50 g dry wakame

Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp miso
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce/Japanese soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp white sesame, toasted
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • tsp togarashi/Japanese chili powder
  • tsp salt


How to Make Chuka Wakame:

  1. Soak wakame in boiled water until it expands. Drain wakame, finely slice. Set aside.
  2. Sauce: Mix all ingredients well.
  3. Add the sauce to the wakame slices, mix well.
  4. Arrange in a serving bowl or store in an airtight container to enjoy later.
