Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 6 tomatoes (cut into small pieces)
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 4 glasses of water
  • 4 tsp soy sauce
  • 5 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp white pepper
  • salt (to taste)
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 4 cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water to thicken like a slurry)
  • 2 spring onions (chopped)
  • 4 tbsp cilantro (chopped)



Method of making:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat again. Add the tomatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes start to become soft and go away.
  2. Add chicken stock, water, soy sauce, sesame oil, pepper, and salt as needed.
  3. Cook until boiling, then reduce the heat so that the soup is always boiled with the lid on.
  4. Beat the eggs in a small bowl, then prepare the thickened cornstarch in a separate bowl.
  5. Use a ladle to stir the soup so that it forms a swirl in it. Keep stirring while pouring in the cornstarch until everything is combined.
  6. After that, pour the egg liquid thinly into the vortex while still stirring the soup. This is the trick to getting eggs in the form of beautiful drops.
  7. Turn off the stove after the egg drops are successfully made.
