Dalgano - Recipes Japan Chicken katsu, also known as chicken panko, or tori katsu is a Japanese fried chicken dish made with panko breadcrumbs that is also popular in Australia, Hawaii, London, California and other parts of the world.

ingredients:
- Chicken Katsu:
- 2 skinless and boneless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp grated garlic
- 2 tbsp shoyu/japanese soy sauce
- 2 tsp salt
- 50 grams of wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 150 gr panko flour
- cooking oil

Salad:
- 100 g lettuce, finely sliced
- 100 g cabbage leaves, finely sliced
- 100 g carrots, finely sliced
- Sauce, mix together:
- 200 ml bottled mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp bottled chili sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon/lime juice
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
How to Make Chicken Katsu:
- Cut each chicken breast in half so that you get 4 pieces of chicken breast.
- Beat each with a meat mallet until it is thin.
- Coat each with flour until smooth.
- Dip in beaten egg until evenly coated in egg.
- Coat each with coarse panko (panir) flour while pressing until it sticks. Allow a few moments to dry a bit.
- Fry in hot oil and plenty until past yellow.
- Lift and drain.
- Cut crosswise and serve with BBQ sauce and lettuce salad, if desired.
