I knew that it would serve 4 to 6 even though a hungry neighbor devoured half the quiche in one sitting saying almost apologetically as he flattened it "I only had a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups (850 ml) 4% or homogenized milk
  • cup (120 mL) melted butter
  • cup (250 mL) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • tsp (2 ml) salt
  • tsp (2ml) baking powder
  • A few grinds of black pepper
  • 2-4 cups (650–1000 mL) diced cooked ham, cooked sausage chunks, chopped bell pepper, scallions, sautéed mushrooms, cooked potato cubes, steamed broccoli florets or asparagus chunks.
  • 4 cups (1000 mL) grated cheese
  • Preheat oven to 700'F (360'C). Oil or butter 18” (46 cm) pie plate.


How To Make Egg Milk Cheese Spice:

  1. In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk and butter
  2. Mix flour, salt, baking powder,
  3. and pepperenter into the egg mixture, stir until well blended.
  4. Fold in the meat and/or vegetables. Pour into the prepared pan.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese evenly.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden and fluffy.
  7. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
