Korean Savory Bimbimguksu
Dalgano - Korean Food | Bibim guksu or Korean cold noodles appeared in the Korean drama Start-Up episode 10. Ji-pyeong and Dal-mi are having lunch at a place to eat bibim guksu.
When they are about to eat bibim guksu, Ji-pyeong expresses her feelings to Dal-mi that she loves it. Besides the iconic scene, the bibim guksu dish also looks delicious. You don't have to go to Korea to eat this food. Just try making bibim guksu with simple ingredients like the following recipe from Simply Recipes.

Korean Savory Bimbimguksu |
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of buckwheat noodles or can be replaced with your favorite type of noodle
Choose from a wide variety of toppings:
- Lettuce, thinly sliced
- Green cabbage, thinly sliced
- Cucumber, chopped
- Carrots, finely chopped
- Asian pear, chopped
- Green onion, thinly sliced
- Perilla leaf or sesame leaf
- Sprouts (optional)
- Cabbage and radish that has been processed into kimchi
- 4 boiled eggs
Sauce:
- 8 tbsp Korean red chili paste (gochujang)
- 8 tbsp rice vinegar
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted)
How To Make:
- Boil noodles with water. Then prepare the chopped vegetables with the seasoning sauce.
- Prepare lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, carrot, Asian pear, perilla leaf, and radish. Set aside. Split the boiled egg in half. Set aside.
- Sauce: In a small bowl, combine gochujang, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Stir to mix and set aside.
- Drain the noodles in ice water to keep them cool. Let stand for a few minutes then drain again until the noodles are completely dry. Put the noodles in the freezer for about 3 minutes.
- Serving suggestion: place cold noodles in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with sauce and vegetables or add fruit of your choice. Place one part of the hard-boiled egg on top. Serve with kimchi.
