BBQ Barramundi Burger With Grilled Cos, Grilled Lemon & Australian Jalapeno Tartare



Dalgano - Australian Food | Take the family and head out for a light dinner. This BBQ barramundi fish burger is a quick and simple formula that can be easily put together on a sweltering hot afternoon. Make a special treat, swapping whole wheat bread for fluffy white bread!

Ingredients:

  • 6 jalapenos, finely chopped
  • cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp capers, rinsed, drained, and finely chopped
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 4 skinless Australian barramundi fillets
  • 4 toddler hearts cos, halved
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • tsp lemon peel
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 2 extra lemons cut in half
  • 8 soft whole wheat bread





Making Method:

  1. Mix the jalapeno, parsley, capers, mayonnaise, and mustard in a bowl. Cover and leave in the refrigerator until cold
  2. Bringing the barbecue to medium-high heat
  3. Drizzle barramundi and cos liver with olive oil, sprinkle with lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper to taste
  4. Bake barramundi, turning once until browned and cooked through, approx. 3-4 minutes on each side, and rest for a while. Toast the lettuce and lemon with the cut side facing down until charred, approx. 1-2 minutes
  5. To serve, toast the sides of the loaf a moment before generously spreading the base with the jalapeno tartare. Sprinkle with barramundi, lettuce liver, and season to taste. Add bun tops and serve with charred lemon
