INGREDIENT:
- 2 stone banana flower
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1000 ml thick coconut milk from 1 coconut
- 4 bay leaves
- 4 cm galangal
- 6 pieces of lime leaves
- 4 tablespoons tamarind water
Puree:
- 3 large red chilies
- 4 shallots
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 teaspoon sugar
HOW TO MAKE GULAI JANTUNG PISANG:
1. Remove the outer skin of the banana heart, then cut in half lengthwise, then thinly sliced and clean wash. Boil until tender, remove and drain.
2. Heat cooking oil, saute ground spices until fragrant, add salam, galangal, and lime leaves. Add coconut milk, cook until the spices are evenly distributed and the sauce is reduced. Add banana flower, cook briefly, remove from heat.
3. Serve with white rice.
